I'm due to replace two tyres on my 52 plate Audi A4 (205 55 R16's)

Can anyone make and decent recommendations?
So far I've got Michellin Primacy HP, which are more than what I want to pay really. I went to one garage today and they offered me Maragoni's for £80 each and I've come across some Yokohama C Drive's for £65 each

I do approx 300 miles a week

i had four vredestein sportrac 3s fitted for less than £80 a corner at elite

whats your critera for the tyre? i get the feeling that the pirelli p7 cinturato is a great compromise. very effective in terms of grip and response (if reviews can be beleived) but also very low rolling resistance and good wear rate

Well I'd suggest matching whatever you have on the other axle! You don't want to mismatch the tyres. Primacy HP tyres last a long time, have great grip and give better than average fuel economy. You'll probably get your money back. They're only £87 per tyre including fitting if you book on the kwik-fit website.

Personally I wouldn't be buying a summer tyre in September anyway but that's just me - if you don't want to pay for some Michelins I doubt you'll want to be buying 4 new tyres and wheels :)

to be honest I've never bought winter tyres, always used the same tyres all year through.

I've found some 205/55 R16 Michellin Primacy HP's 91V's on one website, two for £155 which includes all fitting and balancing etc

That's a good price - may I ask where? I use Primacy HP as my summer tyres and so next spring I'll probably need 4 more!

I just got some http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m62b0s291p9477, they've gone up about £10 in price since then. They're as good as everyone says they are, good dry grip, amazing wet grip, no wandering around ie. feels planted, not too noisy (like the NCT5). My only complaint is that they pick up a lot of stones.

Dad has the Michelin Primacy HPs on his in the same size again, they are also very good.

^^ Just about ready to replace my front GSD3's as they are down to the limit now, covered 10,000 miles with them which I was a little disappointed about as my car is hardly what id call powerful! Pretty amazing in the wet but at the size I need they are like hens teeth having scoped the net! They were stopped being produced a while ago now and replaced with the asymetric version.

Looking at outing the car in the new year so not spending a fortune on tyres though.

I've been looking on the net and doing some research and come across the below;

2 x Michellin Primacy HPs for £155
2 x Firestone TZ300's for £125
2 x Falken FK452's for £119

The Falkens on Tyrereviews.co.uk seem quite good for budget tyres. Anyone tried them?

452's are very good for the money -many people like them

Almost like the best 'budget' performance tyre.

I just got contisport contact 2s and am very pleased with them in the size you are looking for, cost me £64 each, I would highly recommend them, better than the vredesteins I had before.

Matt82 I can get the sportrac3s for around £60 fitted each, you need to shop around, however this garage is local to me, but they are near enough same price as camskill but including fitting!
