I run LAN parties where we would like to stream in game footage over a projector for tournaments etc. The server connected to the projector is powerful [email protected] however due to the rest of hardware it struggles with 3d graphics so i'd like to look at the possibility at steaming video over the network from another pc a decent graphics card.
The likes of rdp and vnc wouldn't be able to cope with the volume of video data, can anyone suggest some software that is up to the job? The intranet is full 1 gig so there wouldn't be bandwidth issues and I would only need a 1024x768 resolution. Solutions via the interwebs such as ustream would not be possible due to rubbish external bandwidth.
