Recommend Me Warhammer

Well i never played any of warhammer rts and there is new one comming out and mmo really soon and i would like to know the story of the game and see how its like were do i start and how many warhammers is there

The new RTS is Dawn of War based (Warhammer 40,000) isn't it? An expansion. While the MMORPG is based on Warhammer.
There's Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000. The first based on ancient times (elves, dwarves, orcs, wizards, etc) and the latter based in the future.

Dawn of War will provide information on the Warhammer 40,000 world, while Mark of Chaos will provide information on the Warhammer world.

There are quite a few other games based on these two games but the ones I've mentioned are the most up to date.

Are we talking a warhammer mmo, or a warhammer 40,000 mmo (they're completely different story 'worlds'). If warhammer, i don't think there are any decent modern games i know of, if its 40,000 i would definitely recommend the dawn of war anthology.

I'm pretty certain, when it comes to the 'warhammer' world, shadow of the horned rat, is still considered to be the best.. and that's saying something

for the 40k world, Dawn of War is a must. I personally felt that the necrons unbalanced things somewhat, but hell, what do I know

If you're interested in the setting of the MMORP then check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warhammer_Fantasy_(setting) and look at the relevant races - humans, dwarves, high elves and dark elves, chaos, and orcs.

Its..................... an ok game.

Brilliant is a little bit more than generous when describing it.

The ideal 40,000 game would be based on a more refined version of say, the H&D 2 engine.

As it is, Dawn of War is little more than a trimmed down C&C.

For some reason I enjoyed Dawn of War much more than C&C. That may be because it brought back memories of painting the lead figures when I was young though!

DoW is a brilliant game there is no doubt in my mind about that... was completely new in the rts genre when it came out... much better than all the C&C games that haven't changed or improved on the original one

ps. company of heroes is better than dow, if you change your mind on the warhammer theme but want a great rts then give it a go

for an old Warhammer game.... get Dark Omen, thats pretty awesome rts/strategy, for some reaosn it wont run on my PC anymore
