Looking for suggestions for a new cooler for my rig - air or water - not fussed. Currently have an Intel i5-750 with a Corsair H50-1, for the past 1/2 year my temps idle at 50c!! Load at 65-70c which isn't that bad, but the idle temps are shocking.. I bought new AS paste, re-seated the cooler with new paste and it dropped 2/3c but has gone up again since.. When I first bought it, I was idle 30c roughly and 45-50c load, but I think the old age of it not sure how it all works exactly but it just seems the pump isn't as efficient or water may have evaporated out, god knows!?..

I was looking at the Corsair H100 for water and the Phanteks PH-TC14PE as an air alternative.. Which would you suggest? Or maybe something else? Also looking for suggestions on what fans to buy for my case and how many, were, etc? My case currently only has the stock 120mm front fan and the fan on the H50 mounted at the back of the case.. I have room for 2x 120 or 140mm cases at the top of my case, and whether I get the Phantek or H100 I could then mount a new 120mm fan at the rear of my case..

Full spec below.

Link to my case specs are here - http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6607

CPU - Intel Core i5 750 (Lynnfield) Socket 1156
COOLER - Corsair Hydro H50-1
MOBO - Asus P7P55D-E
GPU - Asus HD 6950 2GB
RAM - 8GB G.Skill Ripjaw
CASE - Coolermaster CM-690 Pure Black Dominator
PSU - OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W

EDIT - Just had a thought, would it be worth buying 2x Akasa Apache Black fans and sticking them on my current H50 in a push/pull setup? Also, would it be worth buying 1/2x more to stick at the top of my case as exhaust?

Is the radiator full of dust?

If the H50 is drawing air into the case (think this is how it's meant to work), then i would put a fan in the top of the case.

I actually opened it up last night and the heatsink had a chunk of dust and so did the PSU on the bottom of the case, cleared it all up and looked a lot better..

Turned my PC on this morning now and temps are idle this now:

Core #0 - 35c
Core #1 - 29c
Core #2 - 27c
Core #3 - 28c

Much better I guess! I'm going to buy 2x Akasa Apache Black fans and mount them at the top of the case. :)

EDIT - And after being on idle for 1hr my temps are now..

Core #0 - 42c
Core #1 - 37c
Core #2 - 39c
Core #3 - 38c

And it is rather chilly today and my room is cold.. Definitely getting 2/3x Apaches, 2 on push/pull and 1 as an exhaust for the top of my case..
