Hey guys,

I know we have a lot of threads about music suggestions, but how about one which is for just a single song that perhaps others may not know.

After all, an itunes download is only 79p, so its worth a gamble to discover something great! :)

I'll start this off:-

Random rules - the silver jews

Go forth! :)

The Kings of Leon - King of The Rodeo

Edit, downloading as soon as I'm signed up!

Aretha Franklin - Son of a Preacher Man

I know everyone should already know this, but you'd be very, very surprised how many people don't!

Anberlin - The Runaways / Time & Confusion

Minus the Bear - Pachuca Sunrise / The Pig War

Boy Kill Boy - Back Again / Susie.

I couldn't choose!

Ok this has been bugging me for a while. What is it with the sudden popularity of MTB? Have they been used in a TV series or something?

Bet they got used in The O.C. or The Gilmore Girls or something :p

Still a good band though.

My recommendation:

A Lily - Lights Shone Brighter My Delicate Sun Is My Sparkling Sun

Side-project of James from Yndi Halda, chilled electronica, very good.

I have no idea, I just heard about them on www.last.fm a few weeks ago, and decided to get an album of theirs, very good stuff. I don't know about their trend though, they might have been on the oc.

No worries. I just found it strange, given that they're not a particularly new band. The Postal Service seemed to enjoy a similarly high profile here a few years after they released 'Give Up', which i'm led to believe was a result of them being featured on the Scrubs soundtrack.
