I'm going to be buying football manager and another game, but my connection is ****e (for now) so could anyone recommend me a decent game to buy which you don't have to use online to enjoy?

Yep, can use a 360 controller as well iirc, but you'll be just fine with the K+M

Fixed, it's a glorified excel spreadsheet.

Anyway.

Arkham Asylum is a good choice, might also want to have a look at both Mass Effects (RPG's), Just Cause 2 is a great time sink, you can also get Borderlands crazy cheep now.

Mass Effect 2, I really enjoyed it. I would recommend getting the first game though and playing it before hand.

Dragon Age is amazing as an RPG.
Medieval Total War 2 as a Strategy if you want an addictive time sink.
