I'm looking to set my wife up with a hosted exchange account.

She needs to be able to make changes to her diary and for someone else to do the same.

Her phone should display her diary that's always up to date without the need for synching with a PC.

I've been looking at the new Motorola SPV M600 (ithink) but it's not come into stock with orange for quite some time.

Could you recommend an alternative? as her current bluetooth phone has died, and she is using an old nokia on loudspeaker when driving...which is not good!!

Thanks

Adam

Any phone running Windows Mobile 5 (orange SPV/O2 XDA etc) would be a very good start.

I'd suggest looking at the SPV M600 or C600 on Orange for that kind of functionality. (the SPV series has nothing to do with Motorola, they are made by HTC)

However, I will also point out that Orange will not be able to offer much technical support on it for domestic customers though.

not sure why i thought it was a motorola....hmm

anyway - we do like the M600 as we had a demo -it's just been a month and orange don't have any stock or an ETA.

the C600 you mentioned did not get approval from my missus, she didn't like the look or feel of it.

Do any of the other brands such as Nokia or Motorola have ANY phones that would support the wireless calendar function??

Email isn't that important for her - it's really just to replace her filofax and constant phone calls from her secretary with diary changes

Only other phone I can think of from the top of my head is the Nokia 6822, or a blackberry device, or possibly (if you can find one) an SE P910i or Palmone Treo 650 but largely it will depend exactly what system you want to use to synchronise the contacts.

Have a look at this page as it details some of the solutions offered to Orange business customers and might give some ideas. (whether you would be able to take advantage of these specific services I couldn't say).

If you can wait another couple of months, there are phones like the Nokia E61, SE P990 and SE M600i coming out which also offer this kind of functionality.
