Hi there. I'll be moving to FTTP, 1000/200 in the next month or so, but the router provided by my future-ISP is reputedly fairly ordinary. I can use my own once it supports VLAN tags and PPPoE. Our network will consist of a couple of PCs, a couple of consoles, and a NAS connected via ethernet, along with a few phones, tablets, Nintendo Switch, printer, and a laptop connected via WiFi. There'll be a couple of TVs too I guess.
I'd like good QoS options given the amount of gaming and streaming that will be going on in the household, but with a reasonably noob-friendly interface if possible. The house is a typical suburban three bedroom semi, so I don't think I'll need anything exotic in terms of wireless coverage, but I'm guessing I'll need to add a switch to the mix for all our wired devices. I'm willing to go for a wired router and add a wireless AP if that gives me better options. Any pointers on the types of devices I should be looking at, in terms of build quality, reputation and software etc?
Thanks!
