had my leon for a while now came with dotz hanzo 19" rims when i got it, i do like the look of them though they arnt to every ones taste.

sadly after replacing tyres i found one of the wheels had a couple of cracks, took it to see if it could be repaired but guy recommended to replace it.

so for two reasons i think i will replace the set of wheels as i think they are too big actually a fraction broader than the arch! and 18" would be better, along with the fact they have been kerbed and clearcoat has started to peel.

so what do i go for? haven been looking on the likes of gumtree for rs4 style wheels the 7 split spoke type though bbs lm style wheels have also caught my eye, however a set of dotz mugello have also been listed which arnt too bad

trying to keep this fairly reasonable with money as i would rather spend money on a dfp delete and remap

anyone any suggestions ? car is black with btcc kit will maybe try and get some pics up later for comparison

thanks!

personally id just stick with OE wheels, maybe something else from the VAG range if you want to be a bit inventive

i dont know a lot about seats tbh i think they did fr tdi ones in that shape though? wanted more of an idea what the wheels looked like

Bit predictable with the vag scene being the way it is. Worse still most of them are knock offs so everyone immediately assumes you're on a set of imitation wheels

now i'm all for each to their own and all but those are bloody horrific wheels.

the car lends itself to so many different styles of rim really its down to what your happy with, if you like the dotz stuff then buy it and be happy that you like them and forget what everyone one the forum thinks

personaly a set of rotiforms would look stunning but that's just me, i'd also have it on a set of coils and dropped a couple of inches as I say each to their own

I completely agree with the predictability of the BBS but they have to be one of my all time favourite wheels, along with the Compomotive MO5
