Since my holiday to Italy is not that far away, I think it is time to look for some DS games, since it is used quite a lot while i'm on holiday. I haven't really been keeping up with the releases for it and what's good/bad. Now Super Mario Bros is released in 10 days. I don't know much about it, but I am under the imrpessions its just like the original with some 3Dness and a few extra things? If so then that might be a good purchase. Also, ive heard in places that this Brain Training game thing is supposed to be rather good. Can anyone vouch for that? I've heard the same about Animal Crossing but have no idea if that's any good or what it's about either. Any further game suggestions on top of those are welcome.

I currently have:
Mario Kart DS
Warioware Touched
Mario 64 DS
Tiger Woods PGA 2005

Tis a shame DKR and Starfox aren't out until October :(

Mario and Luigi - Partners in Time is a great little game and Polarium is simple yet addictive (think tetris)!

Although i've never played it Brain Training looks very interesting too!

I think as many people need to suggest some games as the new dsl is out end of the week and there might be people like me who didn't have the orignal ds. :D

Get some GBA games. You have that slot in the bottom of your DS for a reason, might as well use it. There may only be about 10 or so decent DS games, but there's about a bazillion good GBA games. As a sample:

The Super Mario Advance series - All the SNES/NES mario platformers
Zelda: Link to the Past/Minish Cap
Metroid Fusion/Zero
Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga
Golden Sun
Warioware Twisted
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
Final Fantasy 1 & 2
Final Fantasy 4
Fire Emblem
Sonic Advance
Castlevania

meh, another thing that annoys me about the DSL is that the GBA carts dont go all the way in...i dont play GBA games now.

get the new SMB, Super Princess Peach, Tetris, Trauma Center, Brain Training, Animal Crossing. sorted :)

M&L: PiT is a very entertaining game; the learning curve is very well balanced and is very funny in places!

Metroid Prime: Hunters is a fantastic game, very slick visuals and lots to do; I haven't completed the single player missions yet let alone go on WiFi! Controls very well also using the stylus.

Trauma Centre is not a bad game by any stretch of the imagination; has good visuals, makes great use of the stylus and has lots of charm & character. It's once you get to a certain mission and you can't do it, that's when it gets frustrating. IMO it's easy to pick up and play but the learning curve is very steep. I've got to one mission and tried it 20 times and still cannot do it. I think i'll be trading this in for NSMB when it comes out on June 30th. It's a shame as i was looking forward to this game when it was announced.

This is my list of games:

Advance Wars: Dual Strike
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
Mario Kart DS
Metroid Prime: Hunters
NFS:U 2
Nintendogs Chihuaua
Sonic Rush
Trauma Centre: Under the Knife

When NSMB comes out i'll be trading in TC:UTK & NFSU2.

Also is Brain Training & Super Princess Peach & Tetris any good?

t3h

Really? They stick out of the bottom slightly?

Balls to that then, I might just stick with my old DS after all.

Why is that such a problem? I'm planning on getting a few GBA games for my Lite when it comes?

But no its your OCD that hates the untidyness of it ;)

i'd like to think you'd feel bad if i did suffer from OCD...but i dont. just incredibly anal about that sort of thing. it's actually quite good - doesn't get in the way at all.

i just appreciate the fact that the ds can actually play gba games.

anyway, on my to get list is:

animal crossing
new super mario bros
trauma center

i got sonic rush and wario ware touched on the way to me, and osu here too :D

would like to know what others think the must get games are. what do people think of phoenix wright: ace attorney?

From what I have read before its a great game that they are already working on the sequel for, but because of the type of game it is the lifespan and replay factor is a bit low.

I'm also looking for a new game, possibly considering Metroid Prime Hunters. :o
