Recommend to me a good notes program

I am looking for something like a notepad that would enable to save the tons of .txt notes that i have which i end up having scattered around and its a big mess. Some sort of a word program that is very light and it allows me to tidy up all my txt files. Any idea?

Look into Evernote. Fantastic notes application. Just import all your text files and it all syncs online for instant access anywhere!

Am-notebook.

Trust me, i've tries loads, it's the bomb!!
Very lghtweight, the program is portable, great Interface, none of that sync online crap, has a built on to do list too!!!
