Im looking for some games to play on my laptop, while it can just about manage WOW and Medieval 2, i prefer to play things that arent 3d.

What can you guys recommend? Im currently playing Sam and Max, the only other games i have is FM07 and defcon, but i cant really get into that.

Something like Peggle, or perhaps a bit more involving.

broken sword shadow of the templars:)

Amazing game that, I love it to bits :D:D

Good shout, i can get that on direct2drive cant i?

Im not interested in 3d games like quake geeza (actually it can play half life 2 at 60fps), i prefer more puzzle/adventure type things.

Fahrenheit might be your cup of tea. Performance was very smooth on my old rig in 1600x1200 max settings so probably be OK on a lappy.

You can just about manage WoW but HL2 is 60fps?

If you're enjoying Sam and Max then you might want to look up the original called Sam and Max Hit the Road (if you can bear ye olde graphics :)). Other great ones Lucasarts did are Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis, The Dig and Grim Fandango.

About the only problem is they are such fantastic games that Lucasarts are still trying to cash in on them so in some places they are still selling as high as £15+.

Half Life 2 is very well optimised, Wow runs well with detail, but i only get 25-30fps on it.

Ive recently played through Fahrenheit, Ive ordered Dreamfall 2 today.

Any great puzzle/action games like peggle?

Once again, I'm going to recommend buying the Baldur's Gate 1+2+expansions set. You can probably pick it up pretty cheap, it'll run on just about anything, it lasts for a hundred hours or so and its just about the best gaming experience ever.

Indiana Jones and the Third Crusade was WAY better than The Fate of Atlantis! Some bits might seem vaguely familiar to you though... ;) :p

You can also play the older Lucasarts games on ScummVM if you can get hold of a copy. And if you somehow work through the whole Lucasarts back-catalogue there's always the Sierra games - the Space Quest series was a particular favourite of mine, but also check out Leisure Suit Larry 2 and Quest for Glory 2.

Oh yeah, and www.spheresofchaos.com
