Recommendations for 1150 mini- ITX

Got a i5 2400k not being used, so thought I would build a gaming rig for LAN events, nothing special though its purely being made as I didn't enjoy carrying my main rig last time.

I do like the Asus Z97I-PLUS but think the price a little high for a 4th gen i5 .

Is the CPU you have not a 2500k, I've never heard of a 2400k model. But regardless, it wont physically fit in a socket 1150 board. This is a newer socket for the haswell series. For your CPU you will require a socket 1155 board.

You will need to find something second hand. 1155 motherboards are not that common any more.

Something with an H61 or H67 socket will be enough for a non-K series CPU. Something like a P8H61-I.
