recommendations for 80mm case fan

Bought a Xilence XPF120R 120mm Red Wing end of last week only to realise when it arrived that my case doesn't allow 120mm fans to fit, so is going back for refund.

Could I have some suggestions for good 80mm fans, i.e. quiet but push a reasonable amount of air (will be used at rear)

Thanks

I've got a couple of zalman ones which I'm quite pleased with. I'm running them with the included resistor and they still throw out enough air to keep me happy, plus the cpu cooler is now louder than them. I'd recommend them I think

Now I'm a bit confused just looked at my order history and current fan is 90mm :S
With 95mm width,, screw holes are about 85mm for current fan or 75mm available for smaller fan.
Therefore assume I could have either 92 or 80mm

Have a look at your case. If it has 8 holes per fan it'll take either. If it only has four, measure the distance between them...

Thats a lot of measurements, a fair few of which don't match up with 92 or 80mm fans, so I don't know where you've taken them from. Measure the case, holes 75mm apart means 80mm fan. Holes further apart means 92.

screw holes are 75mm apart for 80mm fans, other 4 are 85mm apart which I assume are for 92mm.

The current fan is an Akasa amber which is *apparently* 90mm, guessing it's actually 92mm which answers what size fits
