Price range up to about £550. 48" or 49". Must have at least 3 HDMI ports
Smart TV if possible. Not really bothered about 3D. Possibly 4k too.
Was looking at these
Samsung 48H6400 48 inch FVHD SMART 3D
Samsung 48JU6000 48 Inch UHD 4K Smart LED TV.
PANASONIC VIERA TX-48CX400B Smart 3D Ultra HD 4k 48" LED TV

Just a few i was looking at. Doesn't even have to be one of the tv's above. I realise two of these are 3D but tbh i doubt i would watch anything in 3D.....Unless 3D tvs generally have a better picture its not a necessity

Basically i really don't know what tv will give me the most for my money

Only 1 winner here H6400 have the 40" and 48" the 3D looks great on them even though we don't use it much. But you do get a better picture with having it. Not sure why? but that's what i was told you wont find better for your money

Cheers for the quick reply. i currently have a 7-8 year old Samsung 42" Plasma, been an excellent Tv just wanting something newer

Hi,

Just bought the Samsung 48JU6000 48 Inch UHD 4K Smart LED TV.

It is brilliant, does everything I want from a TV. Not seen any lip sync issues, juddering or artifacts and I've been playing with it enough to get into trouble with her indoors.

I've got Amazon Prime which plays 4K video through an app on the TV (one less thing to connect on the back of the TV) and is outstanding. 4K in general (Amazon Prime, Youtube or downloaded material) definitely grabs your attention and the difference with HD is clearly visible.

Actually bought the 48" 6400 in the end. Very happy with it so far. Vast improvement on my old plasma it replaced. Does everything i was after

Then again you could be one of the 48 out of 49 people who spotted the "very slight upgrade in PQ" as described in the article.

Now 3D, that really is pants :)
