recommendations for a mac app similar to ccleaner

just bought iMac 1st apple hardware I've owned so just getting used to the different OS.

I used mainly Ccleaner on my PC.

What is something similar for the Mac.

CleanMyMac I have running on mine. Seems to do the trick and has a nice interface

Onyx is recommended and is also free.

I find I never have a need to run it though

Ah the usual poo apps that claim to clean your mac and keep it running fast. Get OnyX if you so desire, but otherwise don't bother. OS X runs its own maintenance scripts daily/weekly/monthly and will take care of itself, just don't let your disk space drop towards empty.

thanks all,shall take into consideration all the replies but for now leave well alone,good to see Ccleaner working on a beta ,but perhaps as Squerble says perhaps not needed after all.
