As per title really. Ideally no more than a £50 budget for this unfortunately.

Supporting weight of <2Kg would suffice.

Cheers

For the actual monopod I don't think you can go wrong really. Unlike tripod monopods are much simpler and there is less to go wrong. I picked up a $10 job form walmart, solid steel and good clipping mechanism, very sturdy, no flex. Not very light of course but lighter than a good tripod.

Getting a good heady for the monopod is another matter. I have a Really Right stuff BH-30 in mind for mine but might go for a cheaper option but you tend to get what you pay for here, my RRS BH-50 is outstandingly good and worth every penny.

As daft as it sounds, have a look on 7dayshop. I saw an email from them with a £5 monopod, so I bought it (what have you got to lose at that price?) and it's surprisingly decent! It's got various attachments too to use for walking, etc. It would definitely support light cameras and lenses. Bearing in mind you'll only be using it in very specific situations, you'll be holding it anyway so even using heavier stuff wouldn't be an issue as far as I can see.
