I'm after jumping from a 6990 card to something that will offer decent visuals and performance for around 1-2yrs.
Having had the 6990 for over 2yrs, I've come to both appreciate the power of XF but also the hindrance of driver support for dual-GPU games (namely with new titles).
I quite like the idea of a single GPU card, and also PhysX support, but am unsure what card to get next. Normally, Titan would be first port of call, but they are poorly priced versus performance when compared to non-reference 780s.
What are your recommendations? I enjoy high FPS and great visuals, so stutter/lag/low FPS would be disappointing.
P.S. obviously the 7990 would be my first choice, but the coil whine (poorly wrapped capacitors) would drive me to despair.
