recommendations for cpu?

hi guys, ive been posting about building my first gaming computer, am asking for advice and recommendations on purchasing a cpu preferably to suit something like the Gigabyte GA-EX58 motherboard, and water cooling too?

The I7 920 D0 CPU, Got mine on the UD5 @ 4ghz.

As above, the i7 920 with D0 stepping - it's stunning chip and *almost* guarantees a stable clock at 4GHz combined with the Gigabyte UD3/5 and suitably robust third party cooler.

does the UD5 have IDE/PATA compatibility? if not is it adaptable? (can i add it on somehow?)
