Dear overclockers/monitor enthusiasts,
I am looking for monitor recommendations for coding.
I use applications with dark backgrounds and light text, and was previously using a relatively old HD monitor that I want to upgrade to something with a bit more space. I want a single rather than multi-monitor setup due to how I prefer to tile windows and span IDEs over a single large spaces. I would like something with a resolution in the ultra wide/4k space, and something relatively large (preferably 32" upwards) in order to make text legible at this resolution.
I recently bought a Samsung U23H850 ** No Competitors ** however, I was unable to find a configuration that was not uncomfortably bright (in terms of backlight), i.e. just looking at text was unpleasant.
My main question is "are there any [other] monitors that you would recommend for the purpose I describe?"
As a side question, it would be useful to know whether large monitors necessarily bright (i.e. is the brightness issue I describe with the U23H850 an avoidable one?).
Cheers!
