Recommendations for PCI Express Graphics Card :-)

My needs/system:

1. Drive a 24 LCD monitor (Dell 2407 WFP)
2. Used for movies/internet and games eg The Sims/Spongebob/Harry Potter etc)
3. 3.2 Prescott CPU
4. 1 Gig Ram

Can spend £150/250 but dont mind upping the budget it it provides value for money.

What are your recommendations? (That is how I picked the Dell 2407 )

Christ, didn't see that. Cheap as chips.

With that CPU I'd be more inclined to opt for something a little lower. Maybe a 7900GS or an X1950Pro? I personally wouldn't like to have a card like an X1950XT in a P4 PC with 1GB of memory. Either way though, the X1950XT will blow your socks off.

For the games you mention I'd have thought an X1950 Pro / 7900 GS would be PLENTY, overkill really, even at the resolution of that monster monitor.
