I'm currently using HyperX Cloud headphones (wired) that cost me about £80 and I have some cheapo wireless earbuds for when i'm out and about which sound awful so i'd like replace them both with wireless over ear headphones.

I managed to get the Sony XM4's for £220 from Currys (it was a price match) and to be honest i'm a little underwhelmed by them. They sound a little muddy to me and because the headband is quite narrow they aren't particularly comfortable either (too much pressure on my head).

I spend most of my day wearing my headphones at my Windows 10 Desktop so it's really important to me that they're very comfortable first and sound good second.

I've read some articles stating that bluetooth headphones NEVER sound good connected to a Windows 10 PC but i dont know how true that is. If anyone can make some recommendations i'd really appreciate it.

Thanks

Wireless really restricts your choices, you're stuck with the DAC/amplifier built in to the headphones.

I haven't found a better pair of wireless cans than the Sony XM's, particularly the noise cancelling. B&W PX was maybe a little tighter musically, especially low end, but they were like a torture device, ridiculously heavy and clamp to your head like a vice.

But you can get a much, much better sounding pair of wired headphones for less than a 100 quid. An open back like the Grado SR80 is in a different league musically.
