recommendations please!

New build needs an audio unit, I've got 6.1 logitech speakers, wireless headset and may look to get a decent mic.
No idea if I should be getting an internal card or an external unit..... any advice welcome!

On my existing system they go into my sound card.

Ok so your wireless headphones will not need a better soundcard as they have one built in. Your speakers may or may not need anything better, it entirely depends on what motherboard you have and how good the built in sound card is. What motherboard is it?

In that case, I expect you will find no real audible difference in the speakers you have from using the motherboard audio over a soundcard.

Spend your money on something else.
