Recommendations

Hi all

I have been playing WoW for a while whick was my first online game.

I quite fancy trying something else and the ones that stick out are BF2 and CS. I have played Halflife two on the Xbox but thats it.

Are these the ones to go for or something else? Also I see there are lots of different versions, any particular one to choose??

If you are going to play an fps, you can't go wrong with counterstrike.

If you pick counter strike, buy source. It's the better one of the 2 graphically, and is the one they are updating. A few people think 1.6 is more fun though.

Edit: if you buy Half Life 2 for PC, source comes with it for free.

If i'm not mistaken when you buy source and install it you get 1.6 for free in steam anyway so you could play both.

you also get day of defeat source and a bunch of other games free as well.

I have CS Source but don't play it much anymore as I got woefully out of practice and just can't keep up with the online players anymore
