hi all,

I did not find such a thread, so I assume a new one if it was already like this please give me a link to it. I need a bar code reader for something simple and not too expensive. It will be used to improve the work of a small warehouse. It would be good if such a scanner could work with any software. I searched a few pages, I noticed those not branded. But I'm afraid of how they work. Do you have any opinion?
 
Zebra ones are meant to be okay.

Don't know much about the software side of things, but ensure you've got a good wireless network in place to support this.
 
I heard about Zabra, but they are rather more expensive because of the brand.
Did you use them maybe, it's worth paying a bit more?

I've not used them no, I've designed and configured a number of wireless systems for the warehouse vertical and from my understanding, they are solid units. However, these environments are very much, if I need to pay a couple of grand for an AP then we need to.
