Hi

I am looking to help my son build his first 1080p gaming system.could someone point me at better parts for our budget so we can get him the most bang for his money.we're looking at £800 with GPU included ( this is a stretch i know),GPU can be upgraded at a later date or he could put the extra to if he feels the price isn't to crazy right now.thanks

What we have so far:

No PSU chosen yet
No case chosen yet

I would Drop the CPU cooler, use the box cooler provided for the time being and to get a 6750xt for £300 .

Another option is to get a ddr4 motherboard and 32gb of 3200mhz/3600mhz memory, should save you about £40.
i think we shall drop the cooler and opt for a little more FPS .thank you

can you link the £300 6750 please i can't find one below 400

Kolink have some cases around £50 that include RGB fans, as does Montech, the case in my link is more plain. Phanteks P400S is another option, though more expensive. Bitfenix Enso is £51.

MSI GL has a 5 year warranty, whereas the RMx 750 has a 10 year warranty, but it costs £20.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £842.93 (includes delivery: £0.00)
thanks. he's going to go with this from all your recommendations. will the PSU be enough for this system/GPU and would it all fit in this case? Edit:i'm not sure why the thumb nails are showing two of each item lol

Edit: I didn't notice you made changes from the original spec, you'd need to check the same dimensions that I did, but for the Unity Peak.

TPU did a review of the card here:

It uses about 230 watts under load, spiking to 300+, so it should pose no problem for a decent 750 watt PSU.

You can find a review of the PSU here, it appears to be built reasonably well and the ATX 3.0 support should mean it can handle GPU spikes, but it is a more affordable PSU with only half the warranty length of most Gold-rated PSUs, so one or two corners got cut, e.g. in the component selection:

Kolink's website says:
330mm max GPU length
165mm max CPU cooler height
190mm max PSU length

None of those are a problem for the components listed above (280mm, 47mm and 140mm).

The case only comes with 2x 120mm fans, which is less than the RGB cases I mentioned in the earlier post, but they will be sufficient if you prefer not to have RGB.
