Recommended Card for this board and CPU...

Hi there,

What budget do you have in mind and what resolution will you be gaming at? Any particular games you favour/play the most?

What PSU do you have also?

My current PSU is 500watt which I might think about upgrading also

Also im never too sure with my motherboard, my current one is Gigabyte G41MT-S2PT it says on the box its Micro ATX but is it lying?

And I kinda always go for high res when I game because I have like a 20inch monitor and prefer it that way

Oh and my bracket is about £80-£150.00 at the max, prefer not to go for £150.00 because im pushing the boat already - been a while since I bought a computer and didnt know Operating systems such as windows 8 is costing me like 80 quid!

I'd go for the HD7850 then, if you can stretch a little bit more then might be worth looking at a 7870

Never been with AMD for graphics before, is it an easy change? just install hardware, download drivers from ATI?

So used to Nvidia that I hate change, but maybe it would be nice to start a fresh, unless theres a £150.00 nvidia card that can compete/beat this one

Yep, straight forward. :)

This is the advantage of going with AMD, they offer more performance for the same money than nVidia cards.

Just another quick question - im using this graphics card as an example because im confused with fittings etc but:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-306-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=411

if you look at this card compared to the above MSI - this one has two monitor plug-ins if thats what you call them, but looking at this one even though its a PCI-Express im questioning whether it would even fit in my board..well it would fit in my board but there isnt two monitor slots at side of each other at back of my case...

is there anything else im looking for when buying a graphics card because like I say, I dont think that Sapphire one would fit as an example...it looks too thick unless the picture is deceiving me....its all confusing for a newbie
