Recommended Computer for ArcGIS Computer Modelling?

I'm currently in my 2nd last year of university and I am looking for recommendations for a computer that will efficiently run the program ArcGIS 10. This is essentially environmental computer modelling software (both 2D and 3D models).

I'm currently using a Lenovo G580 with an i3 processor, 4GB RAM, 1TB HDD and Intel HD4000 graphics. There's no way I'm even going to attempt to install ArcGIS on this laptop so I'm currently using the computers available at University.
I'm going to be using this software a lot in the next year and beyond that so I'm looking for some recommendations for a computer that can run this program with ease and no crashing.

what else are you planning on running on the machine?
as looking at the hardware specs this should run on most machines that you could build on a tight budget.
as above.. what is your budget?
keyboard, mouse, OS required, monitor, speakers...

never used dreamspark but there's also http://www.software4students.co.uk/ where you would get a good discount
