Recommended Football Books?

Can anyone recommend some good football books?

I'm not interested in autobiographies ghost written for premier league 20 year olds, thinking Cloughs might be a good read but just some general ones that you think worthwhile.

Ajax Barcelona Cruyff is meant to be a good book, I haven't managed to pick it up myself yet although I want to!

Mick Rathbone's autobiography. He was a player in 70's, 80's and 90's and a premier league physio at Everton. I've read it and recommend it. The stories are interesting as they show the difference in modern football to 30 years ago.

Brilliant book, really enjoyed that last winter.

Also Fever Pitch is a good read.

Possibly not the type of football book you're looking for but Inverting the Pyramid: A history of football tactics by Jonathan Wilson was a fascinating read I had recently.

Some of the tactics when football first got going sound absolutely mad.

Don't be put off by the 'size' of The Ball is Round, it really is a wonderful, wonderful read.

If you've not seen it already, try picking up a copy (digitally or hard copy) of the Blizzard. Brilliant writing from some of the better football journo's out there

It is an autobiography but Tony Adams: Addicted was/is very highly regarded. Talks about his struggle with alcoholism.

Can't recomend Brilliant Orange by David Winner highly enough it is an excellent book.
