recommended free software for doing these 2 things please

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend any free windows software for the following:

1. Cataloging photos, allowing filtering by theme or date for example, and providing a means to backup the structure and metadata online or to another drive.

2. Splicing together a video taken on a camera and an audio track recorded on mp3, so that the timing is perfect.

1: Try the stock MS Photo's app from the Microsoft app store (if on Windows 10), if not download Google Picasa. It's been retired now but is still available and does a really good job of cataloging photo's very quickly.
2: Try Shotcut, not sure if it will do what you want but I use it for video editing it hasn't failed me yet.

thanks. do you know whether this can integrate with an online back up solution? I really need to catelogue and sort out my photos but want to integrate with either a free or paid for cloud service.

Alternatively im seriously thinking of just getting all my photos printed like the old days.
