The insurance is up for renewal shortly on our Bimmer. Any recommendations on sites?
I've had a quick look on Tesco, and they've come back with £325 @ Quickfit of all people, who are then offering a free MOT. Seems like a good price. We're both aged 40+ now, no accidents, no convictions, no points.
Thoughts?

Gone with Swiftcover this time as they allowed me to completely customise the requirements, e.g. take out all the legal fees, etc. Worked out a good £100 cheaper than who I was with before (Zurich).

Honestly there's very little point reccomending these things - they change so much depending on your circumstances, your best bet is to shop around.

Start with comparison sites, but remember to get a quote directly from the cheapest ones as IME they work out cheaper that way.

Then go to the places that advertise themselves as not being on comparison sites.

Unless you're driving something outside of average, the mainstream insurers are probably your best bet

I've been with Heffalump for years and I've always had good customer service (based in Wales). They have been very competitive and allow me to account for my modifications (you can do this incrementally online too), without charging a fortune.

I haven't had to make a claim though - this would be the real test.
