Recommended older games available cheaply

I bought all the older XCOM games off Steam on a weekend deal (or such like) for about £4 - mainly because they had gotten them working in Vista. Still trying to complete XCOM Apocalypse but it's damn hard!

DN3D is on GoG for $6. With eduke32 and the high resolution pack (free downloads from fans), it runs under Vista and XP and has hugely improved graphics.

Just ordered:

[..]

Bards Tale, The (12)
Category: PC CD-ROM
Quantity: 1
Unit Price: £1.5 / Total Price: £1.5

[..]

If that's the relatively recent "Same name, different game" Bards Tale (for coins and cleavage), have a look on the disc for the "out-takes" videos. I got a good laugh out of them. I got a good laugh out of the whole game, but those were extra laughs that as far as I know aren't accessible in the game itself.

Picked up Dirt , STALKER and Medieval 2 Total War, for a fiver each

from a supermarket (advertised by The Hamster).

Picked up GTA4 for 9.99 the other week too!

It is the newer version. The older version I have the original for on the C64 and Amiga. I have just had confirmation that the majority have been posted so should get them on Monday. Should be interesting as I haven't played some in years.

Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2

I need to find a copy and get it working under W7.

That's the game that got me really interested in PC gaming, there was a demo of the fuel station level on PC gamer CD back in the late 90's & I really enjoyed it & bought the game in one of those big boxes they had back then, nice fat manual as well & the length of games & levels back then were twice what we get nowadays :D
