The PSU on my PC has just died (Corsair CX600). Can anyone recommend a decent replacement for it, as that model has now been discontinued?

Specs are:
B450 Aorus Elite
32GB RAM
Ryzen 7
Geforce GTX 1660 Super 6GB Twin Fan
4 x SATA drives
NVMe SSD

I don't do any gaming - just productivity type apps, and occasional video editing.

Would the Corsair CV650 80 PLUS Bronze be a decent replacement?

No, that's a terrible psu. For the same price you could get the gold rated Seasonic G12-GC-650w with a longer warranty at 5 years.

You say you have a Ryzen 7 but not which one. A 2700, 3700, 5800 3Dx?

I suspect a decent 550w psu would be more than enough for your pc, depending on the cpu. In that case I would buy a fully modular Gold rated unit such as the Superflower Leadex III 550w ARGB which is on offer at the moment for only £72 and has a 7 year warranty.

The CPU is a 2700X. Looks like the Seasonic is discontinued, and the earliest I can get any PSU delivered from the site is Tuesday. Not sure I want to wait 4+ days to have my machine back :0(

I wouldn't touch a Gigabyte PSU with a bargepole after they started blowing up and refused to admit there was a problem with them.

If you are looking where I think you are looking there is the SeaSonic ATX 650W G12 GM-650 Semi-Modular (80+Gold) - Black for £80. That is a semi-modular gold rated psu with a 5 year warranty. The pair of 8 pin CPU power, 24 pin motherboard and a 6+2 pin pci-e lead are all hardwired but you will be using them anyway apart from one of the 8 pin cpu power. There is a additional pci-e 6+2 pin and sata/molex leads that are modular. That is available for tomorrow delivery if you have the required subscription service. Most other decent psu's on there are far more expensive or out of stock or not delivered until the middle of next week.
