Hi,

I've currently got a Samsung SyncMaster 913N monitor, which is in need of a clean. Can anyone recommend a decent screen cleaning kit, I've seen a couple advertised within Custom PC magazine, but £15 seems a little bit pricey too me.

Thanks in advance

Dan

Cloth from pair of glasses, run under warm tap, ring out excess water. Wipe screen in none circular motion, will remove all grease etc and costs nothing.

Use this on my 24" Dell and other LCD screens.

My method isn't too different to this one. I use 2 bunches of toilet paper. I wet 1 set but do use a gentle circular motion, then dry the area immediatly after. This has worked perfectly for all my TFT's and has never left a mark.

Paper is made from wood pulp and could scratch the surface. Try it on an old CD and you will see scratches appear.

It's best to get a soft cloth like Journey suggested - a lens cleaning cloth is ideal.

Well 5 years of owning TFTs and always using this method has left each one looking exactly like new so I guess we will have to agree to disagree ;). I do only use quality toilet paper of course, not the tracing paper-like stuff :D
