My last bulb has blown in the cooker hood. The hood takes two bulbs, left and right side. I bought these from a B&M shop quite a long time ago, Crompton candle bulbs, 40w clear SES-E14. I can buy multipacks on ebay but looking at reviews on Amazon for similar cheap bulbs, many of them blow very quickly. My experience of these Cromptons is that they're 'ok' and I suppose they've lasted a reasonable time. Should I buy either of these?

cooker hood dont normally have candle lamps as standard they are pygmy lamps but dosnt really matter, id look for a 25w pygmy from osram cant go wrong.

sorry just seen your reply

I didn't have a specific LED in mind but from a quick google they do make cooker hood LED but you would probably be better just using a candle style LED which would be easier to source and offer a better output - anything e14 base in the colour temp and brightness you want

Well, in the end I bought a pair of Eveready cooker hood bulbs from ebay for under £3. So sorted! Hopefully they'll last a while.

I didn't leave the boxes there :p
