Recommended steering wheel for GTA 4

Has anyone had much experience using a steering wheel in the PC version of GTA 4? If so, can someone recommend a particular model?

Something like the Logitech G25 Racing Wheel or the XBox wireless steering wheel.

It just wouldn't work. What you gonna use when you step out the car? Im sure swapping from wheel to joypad/keyboard will soon become a royal pain in the ass. I've got a G25, but i only play it with racing games.

I'll just switch to my gamepad for the on foot parts. How recently did you try it? My understanding is that a recent patch has added support for the G25, although you apparently have to set up the controls manually through the logitech software.

The changing isn't the biggest problem. What about when you need to shoot of your car when you're driving? Sometimes you need to look back, shoot and drive at the same time.

Just doesn't seem feasible with GTA. I would stick to the gamepad.

I've never bothered trying the G25 with GTA4. I tried using a x360pad and keyboard combo, but even that was a PITA, so i just stick with the M&K

Gamepad is just miles better than wheel for GTA

GTA is far to twitchy to use a wheel.
