recommended wii games

Hi all,

What wii games would you recommend?

Just played through Goldeneye and enjoyed it, the wife has also got in to playing it again.

We've a few already but we've not really touched it in over 12 months so no idea what has been out in that time.

Mario Galaxy 1+2

Red steel 2 if you have wii motion plus

Got Mario Galaxy 1+2

but goo call on the red steel game, I enjoyed the first. Need to get a couple of motion plus adapters though.

I'll check out the new super mario bros too. Mate's just lent me mario strikers so will be trying that later

Have you played the Metroid Prime games? If not, the trilogy is an essential purchase and possibly the best thing you'll play this gen

Lost Winds parts 1 & 2 on Wiiware are very good and chilled platform games. Mario Kart is a no brainer.

Metroid Prime Trilogy. Probably the best shooters I've played on any platform.

New super mario bros is great fun, also echoing vonhelmet with Metroid prime.

Oooh and Resident Evil 4.

Donkey Kong Country Returns. This game will up your blood pressure and swearing at the screen will become part of it.

dead space is different on the wii, different story and its an on the rails shooter using the will remote as a light gun

Games I've enjoyed on my Wii:
No More Heroes (1 and 2)
Sonic Colours
If you don't have any of them on another platform, some of the Lego games can be good fun, especially Lego batman.
I do hope you have played Twilight Princess as well.

Dead Space - a surprisingly good rails shooter with a good storyline
Mario galaxy 1+2
new mario bros

I'd also add

paper mario
resident evil 4 - not a rails shooter btw and is very good
House of the dead overkill - a good fun rails shooter
The conduit is a solid shooter as well and cheap
dead rising is pretty good as well

OOh yeah I forgot about HotD: Overkill, good call da ging. The wife and I had a great time playing that, even though the 'story' was painful albeit purposefully so.
Don't forget to look on wiiware and virtual console market for some great old classics and some good new stuff too.

Wii Sports Resort, used to have family over and we used to have a game or two and everyone was involved
