Do you think prices will fall on PC components just before Christmas or After Christmas, or no real price drops at all?

Been holding off my build for a week now with christmas around the corner, I'm thinking maybe I can buy my cpu, mb, ram, etc and then add a GPU later with the new series coming out, or maybe hold off the whole build until then.

Also anyone have any idea what the estimate prices will be for the next gen cards? No point for me if they all going to be over £300

Thanks.

Prices very rarely change with holidays, more with exchange prices and supply/demand. I personally would just get the best you can afford now. The new cards will just replace or refresh the whole of the existing line up.

Fowler while you're at it can you tell me the winning* lottery numbers too? ;)

no sorry I'm going to be 'playing', I need all the money I can get(no job and have spent £1500 on a pc upgrade recently, that upgrade is mostly sitting in bits as need to sort out the motherboard) so don't want my winnings being reduced ;)

The OP read my mind. I was asking myself the same question at work today. The only thing that would convince me to buy now is that MSI mobo cash back offer and that (as I'm sure you may have heard or seen to be more precise) has turned into a cluster****.
