Just a quick one:

Why would a group or artist request for a track to be deleted? I'm referring to Gnarls Barkley and Wet Wet Wet..

Publicity I would have thought, and declaring that a record is going to be deleted is a sure way of ensuring all remaining records get sold (whilst making it look like that’s not the goal).
 
Thanks for all the replies, it seems like quite a sensible thing to do for songs that people may get fed up of.
