This is a longshot, but is there anyway i could get a voice-recording of a conversation from Vodafone? It's pretty important and i basically forgot to write down something from a potential employer

Would this be possible?

Hi,

Sorry but that's not possible. They can't do that as it's against privacy laws to record conversations unless you know they are being recorded, i.e. if you call a call centre and they say it will be recorded.

Next time you should use the record function on most phones to record important conversations.

Note: if you plan to record a conversation, make sure you tell the other person that you will be doing this as it is against the law to do it without their permission.

I think you'll find it is perfectly legal to record a phone conversation without informing the other party as long as you do no intend to make the contents of the recording available to a third party. That's why call-centres and suchlike have to inform you of their intentions.

In the situation that the OP appears to be describing, he's after a recording of a phone conversation from his mobile phone provider of a conversation he's already had. In which case I don't think you'll find that Vodafone records the contents of any of its customers personal calls.

m@rty; without going into any detail you don't wish to reveal, what's the problem?

basically i was called regarding an interview im going to on thursday, the guy told me the kind of questions to expect and i have forgot one of them.

Honesty is the best policy in these situations I find. I don't think there would be any harm in calling him up and asking to quickly run through the questions again to make sure you're 100% with them.

Just make sure you're well prepared on Thursday. Best of luck too - hopefully you'll be successful and land yourself a nice job.

I'd go with the honesty ploy too, say you just want to make sure you got the right end of the stick and ask for a recap.

People who make sure that they have the right information are very usefull in any organization.
