Record player causes Audiolab 8000S to click

Hi All

I have noticed something funny about my Audiolab 8000S/P combo (Old 80s models here):

I have a Sonos Connect plugged into one of the S's inputs, and my Audiotechnica vinyl player on another one, and it seems no matter which input I use, the Audiolab seems to occasionally click but ONLY when using the record player (It makes the sound like I am switching inputs and the music cuts out for a brief moment) - The volume I play at seems to be correlated to the frequency of clicks (but I am not 100% sure on this). What would cause this?

First guess, static build-up. Does the AT TT have an earthing wire? If so, where do you have it connected?
