Record soundtracks

This is probably a really simple one! I am a soundtrack collector but, unlike some of my colleagues, I do actually like the sound effects and dialogue that accompanies movies. Question: How can I record the soundtrack (or bits thereof) so that I can listen to them. Cables? Software?

What are youi listening to the soundtracks on?

If it's on your PC as in DVD just enable stereo mix (creatives what U hear) and use somerhing like audacity them use lame to make them MP3s.

When you say soundtracks do you mean the primary music CD that is released after movies come out? Or do you mean a score (i.e. background music).
