Alright folks, my son has decided he wants to upload some (read lots) of game footage to his youtube channel

I'm looking for some advice on how to get the best quality footage for the least bit on performance of week long uploads

Spec wise he's gaming At 1080p with a 280x and a 2600k both with mild overclocks currently trying to use osb to record but I'm having problems with quality

I've tried varying bit rate but it doesn't seem to make any difference so I'm hoping so one can offer some advice here

Not bothered about file sizes for uploading unless we're talking a few gigs per 30 minute clip as we're on 80/20 fibre but I want to do this right for him and make sure the quLity is there

Any help?

Yes guys have a couple of ssds in that rig but have to say was trying to it last night using osb and it was giving massive performance hits as well as poor video
What sort of bit rate should I be aiming for for 1080p quality video?

had a play with msi afterburner and whilst the video quality is good the files are huge

30 seconds of gameplay came in at over a gig, not ideal if we plan on doing 15-20 minute videos :(

and that was recording at 720p any suggestions?

Both really

Even on fibre a gig of video at my current 720 setting takes a while

And I've found another prod. Afterburner doesn't work with minecraft doh

Seems quite a performance hit too

Fps down about 60% in world of tanks. Is this a gpu or CPU issue with the recording or a mixture?
