Recording game footage on separate laptop

I want to record some game footage of a PC game. I tried FRAPS but it puts too much strain on the system so want to output the video signal to another laptop to record. How do I do this?

Will my cards other DVI output just output the same video? and will it strain the system outputting 2 signals? What sort of video input port should I be looking for on my laptop?

You could try Playclaw
I found FRAPS stuttering unacceptably, but Playclaw works flawlessly.

If you really want high performance, high quality video capture without massively slowing down the gaming system then you would need to use multi-monitor clone mode and a video capture card in another PC hooked up to the 2nd output.

Wow, can you do that? What cabling and connections would you need to set that up?
