Recording games + voice

Hi

So I want to start a youtube channel. But I have no idea with what program it is the best to record gameplay and voice, and how to add them together(edit) to make a video. I would like a free program would be best.

I would use a headset logitech g430

GVR (AMD) or Shadowplay (Nvidia) are free and usually work well enough.
Depends on how decent your PC is to a fair degree.

If you want really good quality, you should be looking at a capture card.

This is my PC :

gtx 970 msi gaming twin forzr
cpu I5 4690K
8gb ram

do u need to know anything else?

and how would I record my voice?
Also about the capture card can u recommend one

You should find voice record options in the Shadowplay menu.

As for capture cards, an Avermedia HD or something? Best to do some googling on that front

Open Broadcasting Software can be set to record only. You don't have to stream.

Obs for a free solution
Msi afterburner is good (don't need an msi card)

Dxtory is good if pays option is out there.

If you want reasonable quality look into lagarith lossless codec

I like OBS because it supports Quick Sync, uses less CPU. Not an issue on my sandy i7, but still... lol
