Recording in game cut scenes

Alright guys? Need Help. Im trying to record a ingame cut scene from rome total war. Im using camtasia but everytime i record when it plays back the video is jumpy + the terrain and units fall out and back in. The cut scene plays perfectly when not in video. Any ideas how i can resolve this? Are they any other programs that are quite good at doing this?

If you do use fraps be careful you have enough space on your hard drive as even a small 15 second clip can result in an enormous file size! :eek:
