recording screen activity

Hi, does anyone know of a good free program to record everything i'm doing on my pc screen?

For on screen - Camtasia does a good job. There is also a free one out, can't remember the name though... will post here when it comes to me

Right you are, sorry. I assumed fraps was just screen capture in general.

CamStudio is a good piece of (free) software for this purpose. It provides all the tools to annotate the recording, and can output to movie files and/or flash files which you can embed into webpages.

Have a look in the Webcam/Capture Software section, Debut Video Capture etc.
