Recording software with "large" volume metres?!

Need some software to record mixes when i'm on my decks.

Used to use Cool Edit/Sound Forge/Adobe Audition on Windows which all worked great, it had a large volume meter running the full width of the screen horizontally, so you could just glance over and check how loud everything was nice and clearly.

GarageBand is awful, the volume meters are absolutely tiny, no good for mixing anyway when the tracks are changing volume etc.

Anyone recommend anything? As long as it has reasonably large level meters, and can export to mp3 it's fine. :)

Cheers.

I do but just because the levels on each individual channel/the earphones are right dosen't mean it's OK on the master output. :)
