I need to build a rackmount system that has a quad core, storage and software to boot of sound recording.

It's going to go in a rack of sound amps and other inputs and outputs. The computer side needs to be able to cope with many different channels going in through a sound card (havn't chosen yet) and be able to record- encode in real time with no hang ups.

It's not for me but a friend who wants it to last a few years (5). I can get more details if needed but that's the general idea.

I've found a few rackmount cases. Just need ideas to spec of which quad to buy.

Case 1: X-Case RM 400 - No psu. £44.99
Case 2: Antec Take 4 Quiet 4U Rackmount With 450 Watt Psu. £159.00

If you could help me out with a spec that would be great!! Ideally around £800.

Thanks in advance!!
