Recording streams from winamp

Ok I got a mate who does a radio show. We want to keep a backuip of his shows recorded on hd. His shows streams via winamp playlist 128k. I found a winamp based disk writer plugin but it doesnt allow writing from streams.

Any ideas?

not the best solution, but you could use audacity, it has a record "stereo mix" or "what you hear" option

records whatever your speakers are outputting.. (sign out of msn etc first

)

I use streamripper.

Pity Pipex is so poor that a 96kbs stream can barely be maintained

Streamripper is very good when I used it, for the stations that play a mix of songs that send the song data over it can split the files up into individual songs and place them in a folder for each day etc. Also pretty easy to use, I was impressed by it.

quoted for the truth!! I have been using streamripper for a long time and it works wonders.
